Pig Latin
For my topic of papers four and five I have chosen to research the topic of plagiarism. Not whether plagiarism should be legal or not, because that has already been decided and I respect that, but more on the issue of how far the idea of plagiarism should be extended.
I was researching the issues involved with the Napster lawsuit and found something that was quite funny. Napster in the attempt to control what songs were being shared, trying to stop the sharing of the songs of which the artists did not want sharing of, put a block on the files with the suggested names. Weeks later they found that the songs were still being shared. The blocker program was working but the names of the song had been changed. Using Pig Latin the song names were changed but in a way that they could sill be read just not to the computer.
It was humorous to me that the simple language of Pig Latin could confuse the computer and allow people to share un-sharable files.

My Major?
This topic dose not really fit me as well as others might, because I have not chosen a major yet. I have however thought of some options for my self. I’m thinking orthodontics would be a good thing to study. There is the obvious reason that there is a lot of money involved, and you don’t have to work every day of the week.
My uncle designs mines, and he has to travail a lot but like orthodontics it brings the bacon home just fine. There are also a lot of opportunities for free college and a job offer right out of college if I were to choose such a major.
Both of those options don’t really jump out to me, or spark a certain interest of mine, the only thing that might fit that would be the guitar. The guitar although is not a practical major, because im not interested in playing professional.
I’m thinking that my job would not have to really be something that I am really interested in, if I like to do it, I think I could be just fine with it. The job I have now I did not have any interest when I started but I have enjoyed it and learned to love working there.

Week 3
Procrastination

The topic for this journal write has to be something that keeps me up at night, and also something that is a problem, or something that is a problem to others. My topic is homework, ever since the first time I have had homework it has been a problem for me.

The problem is not homework it self, but procrastination of the homework. Homework can be done quickly and it will not keep you up at night. So the real problem is the procrastination that makes it so I’m up so late doing my homework.

Procrastination is something that defiantly is a problem for me, I mean if you look at the time I’m righting this you will notice it is just hours before our class that it is due. I stay up late doing homework, and some times I can’t get to all of it in the night before it is due.

I have heard of people like my self that can’t do homework before it is due, it is just not possibal for them to do homework with out the stress, or being pushed with a dead line. I have found this to be true, it is next to impossible for me to sit down and do my homework for something that is not due the next day.

There is an obvious down side to procrastination; witch is the lack of sleep. Staying up late into the night doing homework that could have been done hours earlier is something that I hate to do, and when I’m doing it I think how stupid I am, but then the next day I do the exact same thing.

privet vs. public

My topic is public schools versis privet schools. there are several differences between the two. the most prominent being the number of students.
the most obvious difference caused by the amount of kids at a school is the social aspect. In a public school there are a lot of students and a lot of chances to make friends and meet new people. You will also run into a variety of different kinds of students, a fact that might make it easer when finding friends. Private schools have a much smaller amount of students so you come in contact with the same people every day and do not get a chance to learn how to socialize on a regular basis.
the student to teacher relationship is also something that changes between the two types of schools. Studetns in privet schools get more one on one time with their teachers, so they have the opportunity to learn more. Public schools don't get that same attention from their teachers. Althouigh this could be considered a good thing because it will prepare them for college, were the teachers have a lot more students and even less time for the individual person.
weather you go to privet or public there are going to be good and bad aspects for both, it is just about choosing the right one for the student, that will best help them in their life.
